The Armory was created to provide hockey athletes in the Milwaukee area with a more connected and intentional development environment.
Too often, players experience disconnected training — skill sessions in one place, strength work in another, and little coordination between the two. We believe athletes develop best when their training environment works together as a unified system.
Our mission is to support complete hockey athlete development through integrated on-ice and off-ice training, structured seasonal progression, and an environment that encourages both coaching and athlete ownership.
Athlete development is a long-term process.
It requires:
We prioritize sustainable growth and movement quality while helping athletes build the physical and technical foundations that support performance across the hockey pathway.
At The Armory, on-ice and off-ice training are intentionally aligned.
Off-ice performance training develops strength, speed, coordination, and durability. On-ice sessions refine skating mechanics, puck skills, and hockey decision-making. Together, they form a connected system designed to support how hockey athletes actually develop.
This integrated model allows for more efficient progression and more sustainable long-term outcomes.
The Armory serves hockey athletes and families throughout the Milwaukee area and surrounding communities.
Our new purpose-built training facility — combined with local ice rink partnerships — allows us to deliver a comprehensive development environment that previously did not exist in this market.
We are committed to raising the standard for hockey athlete development in the region.
Complete athlete development also requires athletes to take ownership of their progress.
In addition to coach-led programming, The Armory Hockey Development Center allows self-guided independent work through open shooting, open stickhandling, and open gym access.
These opportunities help athletes reinforce skills, build confidence, and develop intrinsic training habits within a hockey-centered athlete setting.
We are committed to providing hockey athletes with:
Everything we build is designed to support complete athlete development — today and over the long term.
