As you age up in the sport of hockey, getting bigger, faster, and stronger becomes increasingly important and a key separator between good and exceptional performers.
The Armory’s summer evening off-ice hockey training for 14U/Bantam, High School, and Adult players focuses on enhancing hockey-specific strength, speed, agility, and mobility to help players win more puck races and corner/net-front battles, to shoot harder and more accurately, to increase injury resilience and conditioning, and ultimately become a more confident, consistent performer on the ice.
The Summer Evening Off-Ice Training Program takes place from July 27th through August 19th, consisting of 8 total sessions -- 90 minutes each -- and led by Armory Strength & Conditioning Coach and current college hockey player, Sawyer Wirsing.
Add focused off-ice training around your work and/or busy daytime summer schedule.
Strength, speed, mobility, and coordination work designed to support on-ice performance.
Build the foundation that ice time alone does not always develop.

Hockey skills matter. But skating, stickhandling, shooting, and shooting under pressure all depend on how well an athlete moves, stabilizes, reacts, and generates power.
The Armory’s off-ice training helps athletes develop:

Each off-ice training session is built for hockey athletes and includes a combination of performance training and hockey-specific skill work.
Each session consists of the following training blocks:
Training is led by experienced Strength & Conditioning Coaches and hockey coaches who understand how off-ice development connects to performance on the ice.

Great players are built through more than ice time.
The work athletes do off the ice helps them become stronger, quicker, more stable, and more confident when they get back on the ice. That shows up in the first step, in puck protection, in balance through contact, and in the ability to repeat strong movement habits shift after shift.
The Armory helps hockey athletes train like complete players, with development that supports the full athletic foundation behind confident on-ice performance.
