Full studio-sized synthetic ice rink featuring industry-leading synthetic ice and complete dasher-board system by Becker Arena Products, the leader in rink systems and supplier to the NHL.
Our top-quality, seamless synthetic ice provides best-in-class glide capability and will include lines, face-off dots, and 4 goal creases, optimally positioned for goalie training.
The rink's size allows for multiple training uses, including power skating, individual skill development, and small area games. It will also be convertible to a 6-lane shooting range for hockey shot training in skates to replicate the in-game environment.
A large floor hockey rink featuring a full, robust recreational board and net shielding system and equipped with sport court performance flooring designed for floor hockey, individual skill training off skates, and multi-sport use.
While training in skates is vitally important to a hockey athletes long-term development, there are tremendous benefits to getting hockey athletes out of their skates to train specific hockey skills and to foster more well-rounded mobility, physical literacy, and general athleticism.
The size and versatility of this training area allows for a wide-range of activities, including stickhandling and passing skills, stride technique training, positional walk-throughs, and sampling of other sports.
A multi-rack weight gym featuring brand new, customized equipment by Surplus Strength and Rogue.
Each weight rack is fully equipped with their own set of attachments and training accessories, including complete sets of kettlebells, bumper plates, medicine balls, and PowerBlock dumbbells.
Designed in collaboration with Jeff Lovecchio -- former pro hockey player, professional strength coach, and co-host of "The Hockey Think Tank" podcast -- our multi-rack gym set-up, adjacent to our dryland turf area, is conducive to station-based and circuit-style training.
All weight equipment has been meticulously scrutinized, and proven through Jeff's extensive training experience, for its use and benefit for hockey-specific strength training.
An open and expansive padded sport turf area allows for a wide range of speed, strength, agility, mobility, and plyometric training activities.
Large enough for full team training, the turf can be utilized lengthwise for activities requiring more distance, or widthwise for station-based circuit training.
Fully equipped with weight sleds, agility ladders, plyo-boxes, and other tried and true dryland training enhancers.
A wide range of hockey-specific training aids are available for use and utilized throughout our training. From stride technique trainers, to balance trainers, to passing aids/rebounders, and so much more, hockey athletes will have everything they need to enhance their training at The Armory.
Every hockey training aid adopted for use is meticulously researched, tested, and scrutinized to ensure true developmental benefit and transferability to the game.
A small pro shop area will provide skate sharpening services, basic hockey essentials -- like tape, stick wax, skate laces, etc -- and Armory branded merchandise/apparel for purchase.
Armory members get year-round discounts and reduced pricing on skate sharpening and pro shop purchases.
